A student’s success in school depends upon many factors: the attitude of the student, appropriate curriculum, caring teachers, and the relationship between the school and home, and student and home relationship just to mention a few. In order to help that partnership between home and school, we ask you, along with the school to sing the following compact and return it to the school.
As a parent I will:
- Get my child to school every day unless they are sick.
- Provide emergency numbers in case of accidents.
- Provide a place for study in our home.
- Provide a quiet time each evening so my child can study or read.
- Promote the importance of learning and doing well in school.
- Read with my child as often as possible.
- Talk to my child about what they are doing in school.
- Communicate regularly with child’s teachers.
As a school, we will:
- Provide educational activities that are appropriate for your child.
- Provide a list of teachers and highly qualified aides that work with your child.
- Provide progress reports on how your child is doing in school.
- Provide a safe, caring environment for each child.
- Provide materials that are appropriate for your child’s needs
- Maintain high reasonable expectations of your child.
- Coordinate Title I services with the regular education curriculum.
- Provide opportunities for your child to be successful.
